My Wild Bloom Story
Meet Whitney | Founder + Co Owner of Wild Bloom Organics
For more than 20 years, Whitney has built her career around two things she deeply values: beautiful hair and caring for people.
Aveda-trained and a former leader in the education program at Square One Salon & Spa, Whitney spent years helping develop new stylists in the art and craft of haircutting. But as her own journey toward cleaner, healthier living evolved, so did her vision for what a salon experience could be.
That vision became Wild Bloom Organics.
Whitney created Wild Bloom as a place where great hair and a more intentional, low-tox lifestyle could exist together. Her passion for swapping everyday products for cleaner, more thoughtful alternatives shaped everything from the products used behind the chair to the conversations and connections happening within the salon.
Originally from Ohio, Whitney and her husband, Jake, made Colorado Springs home thanks to the U.S. Air Force. During their time here, they welcomed their daughter, grew their family, fell in love with Colorado's outdoors—and Wild Bloom Organics was born.
In November, Whitney and her family will begin a new chapter of their own as they return home to Ohio. While her time behind the chair at Wild Bloom is coming to a close, the heart and vision she built here will remain an important part of its story.
Wild Bloom is growing into its next chapter with deep gratitude for what Whitney created and a commitment to carrying forward the values at its foundation: thoughtful beauty, cleaner living, genuine connection, and caring well for people and the world around us.

Meet Sarah | Master Styist + Co-Owner of Wild Bloom Organics
Hi, I’m Sarah! I’ve spent more than 26 years in the beauty industry, and somewhere along the way I realized that what I love most about this work really isn’t just the hair—it’s the people.
I’m the owner of Luminara Salon in Old Colorado City, a hairstylist, wife, mom, and someone who genuinely loves creating spaces where people feel seen, cared for, and comfortable being themselves.
Throughout my career, including time spent working with Aveda, I’ve become increasingly aware of the impact our everyday choices can have—not only on our own well-being, but on the world around us. Caring for people and caring for the environment are both deeply important to me, and I believe beauty can be approached in a way that is thoughtful, sustainable, and still delivers beautiful results.
I’m also the first to tell you that I’m still learning. My own journey toward cleaner, more intentional living continues to evolve, and I love discovering practical ways to make better choices without feeling like everything has to change overnight.
That’s a big part of what drew me to Wild Bloom Organics.
Whitney has created something incredibly special here. She built Wild Bloom with intention, education, connection, and a genuine desire to care for people well. As I step alongside her as co-owner and partner, I want to honor what she has created while bringing my own experience, values, and heart into Wild Bloom’s next chapter.
Outside the salon, I’m happiest spending time with my family, connecting with people, exploring Colorado, traveling whenever I get the chance, and probably dreaming up my next idea before I’ve finished the last one.
For me, this next chapter is about more than hair. It’s about creating beauty through connection, caring well for people and our environment, and continuing to learn how we can do both a little better.
I’m currently welcoming new guests, and I’d truly love to meet you.
